Spa Park

A picturesque 19-hectare park established in 1875. In the Spa Park, you can enjoy views of rich vegetation with rare specimens of trees and shrubs. Nature here creates an architectural harmony with permanent characteristic wooden structures – the Concert Shell and the Mineral Water Drinking Hall. The park is home to over 140 species of plants, and its main attraction is a natural monument – the pedunculate oak “Konstanty,” standing over 22 meters tall. Our guests can admire the Spa Park from their room windows, the Preludium Restaurant, and the SPA Zone. We recommend relaxing, long walks in this exceptional place.

Built in 1909 in a Zakopane style, unusual for Ciechocinek. This wooden stage is vibrant throughout the summer, and many distinguished Polish artists have performed on its boards.

Mineral Water Drinking Hall

One of the oldest buildings in Ciechocinek. Built from wood in the Swiss style in 1881. To this day, it impresses with its facade, decorated with wooden openwork lace.

Graduation Towers

A unique and the largest wooden structure in Europe for evaporating water from brine. The total length of the three adjacent graduation towers is 1741.5 m. Around the towers, there is a specific microclimate that is extremely beneficial for our bodies. The air is rich in iodine, which gives it natural inhalation properties.

Mushroom Fountain and Hansel and Gretel Fountain

Two of the most famous fountains in Ciechocinek. The first one is located in the very heart of the town. Interestingly, it serves not only an aesthetic function but also houses spring number 11, a 414-meter-deep brine borehole. The second fountain is situated in the central part of the long, lime-lined alley of Krymskie lindens in the Spa Park. The fountain features a plaster figurine of the fairy tale characters – Hansel and Gretel. Due to its fairy-tale character, it is an important city attraction and a picturesque backdrop for souvenir photographs.

Summer Theatre

A 19th-century building designed in the Swiss Art Nouveau style. Restored in 1998, it currently serves its original functions. It is the only building of its kind in Poland, and one of only three in Europe.

An establishment operating for 180 years, producing table salt and its derivatives such as Ciechocinek Healing Mud and Healing Lye. In the older part, there is a Museum where you can learn about the secrets of salt extraction and processing.

Halophilous Plant Reserve

A reserve located next to Graduation Tower No. 3. Established in 1963 for scientific and educational purposes to preserve a rich community of halophyte plants. The reserve is home to 10 species of salt-loving plants: Salicornia europaea, sea aster, sea milkwort, Gerard's sedge, frog sedge, spiny glasswort, saline broomrape, and winged seedbox.

A city rich in monuments, whose showcase is the well-preserved Old Town. Tourists can admire, among others, colorful townhouses in various styles, the Town Hall tower, and the Artus Court. Toruń also houses the ruins of the Teutonic Castle.

Scenic Bike Trails

An attraction perfect for fans of active recreation. We especially recommend the Vistula Bicycle Route stretching along the Vistula River, as well as the Fryderyk Chopin Bicycle Trail

Koneck Nature Reserve

Forest nature reserve with an area of over 80 ha. Established in 2007 to protect and preserve rare lowland forest communities in this part of Poland – continental oak-hornbeam forest in the Kujawy variant, as well as moist light oak forest with protected species and rare plant species.

Nieszawa

The town is located in the Vistula Valley, at the edge of Kujawy, just 10 km from Ciechocinek. In the 16th and 17th centuries, it was a very important point on the trade map of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth due to its location on the Vistula River. During walks through charming streets, we recommend visiting the 18th-century town hall, the museum of painter and architect Stanisław Noakowski, and the Franciscan monastery complex. It is also worth taking a walk along the promenade by the Vistula River and reserving time for a ferry crossing. The current ferry is the only vessel of its kind operating in Poland. Built as a prototype in 1991, it looks almost like the steamships on the Mississippi River. The ferry can carry at one time interchangeable loads – 8 passenger cars, 1 semi-trailer truck, 2 trucks, or 20 people.

Ciechocinek is a peaceful resort where it is easy to combine health care with pleasant relaxation. Gentle walking trails, shady parks, and a spa microclimate make it a great place for both seniors and families with children.

Villa Park MED&SPA, located right next to the Spa Park, is a convenient base for sightseeing – from the windows of the rooms, the Preludium restaurant, and the SPA area, you can see the greenery of the park.

The most recognizable symbol of Ciechocinek is the graduation towers – the largest structure of this kind in Europe. A walk near them is a natural iodine inhalation, especially important for people with respiratory problems, but beneficial for all guests. Next to Graduation Tower No. 3 is a salt-loving plant reserve where species typical more for seaside salt marshes than central Poland grow.

The other “green heart” of the town is the Spa Park – with a Concert Shell, Mineral Water Drinking Hall, and alleys full of old trees. It is a place for daily walks of spa guests, morning exercises, and evening concerts. Children especially like the Hansel and Gretel fountain, and the Mushroom fountain – which covers the brine well – reminds you that you are in a spa town.

In Ciechocinek, it is worth paying attention to the Summer Theater – an Art Nouveau building from the late 19th century, one of the few of its kind in Europe. In summer, plays and concerts are held here. During a walk around the town, it is also worth visiting the Ciechocinek Walk of Stars, where plaques in the pavement commemorate artists and athletes associated with the resort.

The Salt Boiling House allows a look “behind the scenes” of the spa – salt and medicinal preparations are still produced here, and in the museum part, you can see how the extraction and processing of brine looks like. It is an attraction that will interest both adults and children.

Why is this a good destination for a joint trip? Ciechocinek combines what various generations seek: a spa microclimate, easy walks, historic architecture, and short trips around the area. Seniors can enjoy the graduation towers and parks, children can play by the fountains and discover new places, and parents can catch their breath at Villa Park MED & SPA – between a walk in the Spa Park and a moment of relaxation in the SPA zone.
